Taylor Rebman from Ashland, Ohio, has a special bond with her mare, Coy Lil Frosty (Dixie). They’ve been together since July 2020. Initially competing in western pleasure and showmanship, they switched to ranch events in 2023 and haven’t looked back.
Taylor bought Dixie during the pandemic with the intent to sell her, but after the first ride, she knew Dixie was a keeper. Dixie’s determination and competitiveness match Taylor’s, making them a perfect team. With Dixie, Taylor achieved her first breed show, AQHA show, world show, and out-of-state show. Dixie helped Taylor earn her first major money class win, first all-around title, first Congress medallion, and first world title.
Dixie’s personality and try make her truly special. Taylor saves Dixie for last, knowing she’ll leave the barn happy. Dixie comforts Taylor on off days, and their bond keeps Taylor humble and grounded. There’s no amount of money that could make Taylor part with Dixie.
Their story shows that even a girl who started in 4-H and a mare who was passed around can make a statement with a strong bond. Taylor hopes their journey inspires others, proving that the “little guys” in the horse show world can achieve great things with heart and determination.
